About Us
Chinese churches are reviving and reviving greatly. This faithful narrative is full of powerful witnesses, and one part of this grand story is Christian Education in China. As millions of Chinese have come to Christ and the Church has experienced rapid growth, the question has turned to how to pass on this burgeoning faith to the next generation.
“What are our expectations for the next generation of Chinese church?”
“Shall we bear the responsibilities to raise our next church generation or leave them to the society?”
In China, where true religious freedom does not exist, the answer is not easy. Under the government, it is considered illegal to teach religious truth to anyone under the age of 18. Thus, Christian schools are banned, and students are required to go to the government public schools that operate under the Chinese government's ideology. As ever though, this has not stopped the Chinese Church.
A huge movement of Christian education began in the early 2000's, and although government pressure forced many of these schools to operate underground, it persists today. S.D.G. is the child of this movement. We are determined to believe that the Chinese church is the one who is to carry on the duty to educate, shape and disciple the next generation of their own. We also are fully committed to the vision that the Chinese church’s next generation is the warriors of the Lord who can stand on God’s Word everywhere to “destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ”. Under this vision, we are focused to help and accompany the Chinese church to raise and nurture their next generation. That is the reason why S.D.G. exists.
Practically, what do we do?
First, assist churches in the development and operation of Biblically-centered K-12 academic programs.
Second, create training programs for Christian school teachers and home educators.
Third, translate Christian education materials from English into Chinese.
Fourth, use Japan as a hosting location for summer camps, conferences, and seminars.
VISION
Christian education flourishing in China such that each family has the agency to provide their children with a Biblically centered education and future generations are equipped to represent Christ throughout all of society.

Partner with Chinese churches, build up Biblically centered Christian education programs, and help bring up the next generation in the discipline and instruction of our Lord.

Benjamin
Founder, CEO
Ben heard the gospel and came to believe in Christ during his college years, and has been actively involved in church service. He has been focusing on the field of Christian education in China for many years, and has a Master's degree in Business Leadership.
Michael U
Operations
Michael grew up in a missionary family in the jungles of Papua New Guinea. Later, while going to college in the United States, he gained his own passion for missions in East Asia, and joined staff with Campus Crusade for Christ. When foreign staff were largely dispelled from China following the pandemic, Michael came on board SDG to continue supporting the mission of the Chinese church.
Hannah C
Academic and Curriculum Coordinator
Hannah has served in Chinese Christian Education for 15 years, having witnessed and walked alongside the Christian education movement in China since its inception in the 2000’s. Her passion and focus is threading the truths of God's Word into every inch of instruction taught in students' classrooms and has obtained more than 10 years of working as a curriculum coordinator.
